Hey! Today, we will take a moment to honor and celebrate all the fathers around the world – the men who have shaped up with their love and wisdom. From the moment we take our first breath, fathers become our protectors. They are the ones who lift us high on their shoulders so we can see the world from new heights. They teach us to ride our bikes, cheering us on with each wobble and fall. Their strong hands are always there to catch us when we stumble and guide us when we lose our way.Fathers often work behind the scenes, ensuring that their families have everything they need. They are up before dawn and come home late, their tired eyes lighting up at the sight of their loved ones. They make sacrifices, big and small, never asking for recognition or praise. Their love is often expressed in actions rather than words—in the way they fix a broken toy, help with a school project, or simply sit beside us in silence. Above all, fathers give us unconditional love. It’s a love that endures through our successes and failures, our joys and sorrows. It’s a love that forgives our mistakes and celebrates our victories. It’s a love that never wavers, no matter the distance or time.

A bit of backstory…

Dadas… dads…. pas… fathers… They are the silent strength, the steadfast supporters, and the unsung heroes in our lives. The modern Father’s Day as we know it began in the early 20th century in the United States. The first known Father’s Day celebration was held on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington, thanks to the efforts of Sonora Smart Dodd. Inspired by Mother’s Day, which had become an official holiday in 1914, Dodd wanted to create a similar celebration to honor her father, a Civil War veteran and single parent who raised six children on his own.Despite the initial enthusiasm, Father’s Day did not gain immediate national recognition. It wasn’t until 1966 that President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honoring fathers, designating the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day. In 1972, President Richard Nixon signed it into law, making Father’s Day a permanent national holiday.
